My child photography sessions feel more like playdates, and that's how I like them. The goal is to capture some authentically joyful moments, and that magic happens when we take away that perfect pic ideal and just let everyone be who they are. Maybe it has something to do with the fact I still enjoy swinging on a playground, but little kids seem to get me, and I am cool with that fact. Sure I look a little crazy getting down on their level, guiding mom and dad through some playful poses, or pulling out all the silly faces, but that's a form of crazy I can get behind.

When photographing kiddos I always like to start with talking about where they are most themselves. For some that's reading in a nook in their room, others playing in their favorite sand pit. We will customize your location to best represent your kiddos best self and capture some real keepsakes of this time in their life. 

Wardrobe can sometimes get a little sticky with kids, lol, so always pack an extra outfit, and do think about the comfort of what they are wearing. It's hard to get a relaxed and joyful pic of your kiddo if they wearing something they never have before or never would. Not saying don't dress it up a little if you like, but keep it comfortable.
